This week in my life is very interesting. I say this because it’s homecoming week in Sterling. I didn’t know what homecoming was like here, but to sum it up it’s more like a high school homecoming week, to say the least. In high school, I didn’t participate in homecoming festivities. Honestly, I didn’t participate this week either that much because of the amount of work I have been turning in and the studying I have been doing because midterms are coming and I want to be prepared. The only theme I remember was the cowboy day because someone walked into my Oral Interpretation class with a pair of boots that were to their knees and a cowboy hat that was about the size of their whole head. Since it was Homecoming week, the practices were aimed a little more on the serious side compared to how fast-paced our practices are because we were playing the number sixteenth teen in all of NAIA, the Southwestern College Moundbuilders. We ended up losing that game which really stucked especially after all the time and preparation that went into this week. I went to my classes the same as I always do but the workload is starting to get a little more extreme. I say this because I have more assignments and I have to cram in because midterms are coming up and I must pass the mid-terms so I can keep my grades up. The most exciting thing I have seen was probably the Addams Family Musical. I saw people I always see around school that I didn’t know were in it and they did an amazing job. From the set to the lighting. I truly felt as if I was there in the play. My favorite part was when Alice who was played by Morgan Pellegrino sang the song “waiting” in a perfect angel like voice.
